While I mentioned Divine Brown in the last post, it's only fair that Jully Black get some shine too. She's been doing her thing in the t-dot for 10 years appearing on various joints like Kardi's "Ol' Time Killin" as well as Nas' "Heaven" as well as her own tracks. It's good to see her get her record out finally. It's funny that there weren't any solo R&B singers for awhile and now these Jully and Divine Brown come out in the same month.
In other news Kardi apparently has got a deal with Virgin now.
Mos Def live in Toronto last night after wrapping a movie with Bruce Willis.
Funny that everyone knows Mos can really act and is in a supporting role in a film when 50 Cent is also here in Toronto shooting his first film and he's got the lead role. I know Mos held down that HBO movie a while back but it would be nice if the studios gave him some leading man light. Wishful thinking , I know.
Anyway, been gone for awhile staring down a few deadlines and I won't be posting for a few days again. Things will get back to normal in about a week.
