Marc Ecko's Getting Up festival in Toronto looks like it is going to be a huge affair, or "total binoculars bananas". Based on a conversation I had a few days ago, there is still the possibility of even more acts being added to this bill. But this is unofficial and the artist in question had yet to be added to the official line-up.
There seems to be a fair amount of ink being spilled on Mr Ecko these days like this New York Times article, commented on thoughtfully by Clyde Smith. Evidently, Mr. Ecko is now ready to step into the limelight.
