Football. Running. Boom.

As my Fantasy Premier League team has taken up more of my time than I'd like to admit, I was naturally interested to note the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations started yesterday. Hosts Ghana pulled out a 2-1 win over Guinea in the opener with Muntari scoring on a wicked long-range shot to win it, as you can see in the highlights below.

Just in time for the tournament, UK MC Sway, who is of Ghanian descent, dropped a new mixtape entitled "Dotted Lines" ahead of a new album.

On the mixtape is "Black Stars" his dedication to the Ghanian soccer team who are often referred to by that name, using the beat from grime artist Bashy's "Black Boys" track. As most intersections of football and music are downright nasty (see John Barnes' awful rap on New Order's "World In Motion"), this one actually works pretty well.
