Can You Hear Me Now II
I mentioned Daetona's 'Dial Tone' track a long time ago on this blog. Way back in October 2006 to be exact. The song has been on Toronto radio for ages now, but the video for the track only dropped about a week ago.
The song has been around so long that Daetona has actually had time to contemplate the situation and change his name to Tona, while the same song he released under a different name is still receiving a lot of attention.
The staying power of the song, in a city noted for its screwface mentality towards domestic artists is noteworthy and can be attributed to Tona's overpowering presence, an addictive stripped down beat and of course, the icing on the cake, the dialtones. Still no sign of a ringtone though.
