Good Vibrations

So it's over. To be honest this reconciliation between Jay-Z and Nas has been on the cards for a while now. Apparently Nas had been spotted around the Def Jam building and their were rumours both were working on an album with Kanye. Added to the fact that Nas would preface half-heartedly performing "Ether" with comments that he respected Jay it was just a matter of time. Obviously this will be a hot blog topic for a while.

Not sure if Nas has seen this bootleg homemade video of his Memento-inspired song "Rewind", but this is a lot better than I thought it would be (credit: Spine Magazine).

Adding some Canadian content to the videos, the new Eternia video "Evidence" is worth checking out. Notice the sample she's rocking over?

Kardinal Offishall has also dropped the video for his Arrested Development-fuelled "Everyday (Rudebwoy)".

But the real blast from the past here is Jay Smooth's post about civil rights leader Rosa Parks (R.I.P.). This tribute mash-up is thoughtfully done, blending Outkast, the Neville Brothers and Sly Stone.
Respect due.
