What with Kanye’s infamous temper tantrum on Toronto’s Flow 93.5 now residing on message board avatars everywhere and the rumours that Mos Def apparently got married at Toronto City Hall to a local woman, it’s been quite an interesting past few days in the Toronto hip-hop scene.

However other events in Toronto surrounding hip-hop that actually involve the culture's elements have been occurring. As always, it was good to pass through the 10th annual 416 Graffiti Expo on the weekend where the graffiti writers, b-boys and b-girls came out to represent as usual and DJs like Son of Soul and Rod Skimmins played some choice selections.

Back to Kanye though and the early reviews are in for Late Registration.
He's getting love from the UK to the respected hip-hop bloggers, and getting dissed by naysayers, but overall it's looking good for Time's cover boy. Nah, they didn't pay him.
